Where to report a scam in the GCC
However you write it, this page lists the responsible authority — the official reporting channel in every GCC state.
⚠️ Always report through official channels. If you have lost money or shared bank details, contact your bank immediately.
Been scammed? Do these four things first
Speed matters — money is usually moved on within minutes, so the first hour decides what can be recovered.
- Freeze your cards and tell your bank's fraud team you have been scammed — use the 24/7 hotline on your card or in the official app.
- Change the passwords on your email and banking accounts, and turn on two-factor authentication.
- Report through the official channel for your country (below) and keep the case reference number.
- Save every message, screenshot, phone number and transaction ID as evidence before anything is deleted.
If your account was hacked or taken over, start with the help and support guides · if the fraud began with a call, see the fake-bank-call guide.
Before you report — have this ready
- The scammer's details: phone number, email address, account or wallet number, social-media handle.
- Screenshots of the messages or adverts, including the full wording — not just the first line.
- Proof of payment: transaction ID, amount, date and the account you paid into.
- Any website or link you were sent — write it down before it is taken down.
